Job description

  • Responsible for the day to day operational functions of our first large scale automated Customer Fulfilment Centre.

  • Lead a team of 4 technical specialists

  • Experience in process engineering and/or continuous improvement essential

This role will sit within our eCom Customer Fulfilment and Operations team and will be responsible for analysing complex data whilst liaising with internal and external technical stakeholders in the ongoing optimisation and enhancement of the processing equipment, control systems and system functionality. Developing and documenting complex work instructions, SOPs, and processes.

What you’ll do
 

  • Leading day to day problem solving and root cause analysis, to maximise automated site up-time and performance
  • Identifying opportunities for automation and system improvements to reduce down time
  • Lead & coach teams to ensure quality control across all operational areas meet set expectations
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to improve automation, systems, data, processes and controls that enable performance and continuous improvement
  • Identify and collaborate with teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives and operational practices.
  • Develop and implement BCP processes that ensure up-time and throughput issues are rapidly responded to and resolved in a 24 hour operation


What you’ll bring

  • You’ll be a passionate leader with exceptional relationship and team building capabilities, who can drive a Team & Customer 1st culture.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or lean processing principles ideally Green Belt (or Black Belt) Certified
  • Previous experience in Inventory & Systems and/or retail/FMCG in an automated operation
  • Proven performance in the use of data insights to develop new strategies
  • Results oriented and highly organised with the ability to deliver in high pressure environments
