Our is developing leading edge computer design software for the Building and Construction Industry, which employs novel algorithms and logic to significantly improve design efficiency and productivity. There is a tight knit team of professionals with experience in commercialising new products and building leading-edge businesses systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to identify and address software defects and ensure that resolved issues do not reoccur.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand Multi-product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on potential quality issues and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Utilize and create automated testing tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve test coverage.
- Perform manual testing when necessary, especially for complex scenarios that cannot be easily automated.
- Document and report defects in a clear and concise manner, including steps to reproduce and severity assessments.
- Track and monitor testing progress, report on key metrics, and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance testing methodologies, tools, and processes to improve overall software quality and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends to maintain a high level of expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or prior experience related within the field.
- Proven experience (5-7 years) as a Software QA Engineer or similar role in software development.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
- Familiarity with programming languages like C#, HTML, PHP, Python, or JavaScript.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and practices.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience testing mobile applications on Windows based Platforms.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
