ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our service team at Burnie Toyota centrally located on the Bass Highway Cooee, provides quality servicing of new and used vehicles completed by qualified, factory trained technicians, using state of the art technology and genuine parts, supported by a knowledgeable and experienced Service Centre team.
Always looking to develop our next generation of Automotive Service Technicians we're now on the hunt for our next Automotive Apprentice to join and learn from our experienced service workshop team.
If you've got a passion for all things automotive and like the sounds of working on cars using a combination or traditional tools and modern technology, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
This apprenticeship role on offer presents an exciting opportunity to work with the #1 automotive brand in the world, highly respected for leading safety, design and technological features.
WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE:
Learn how to accurately diagnose and complete vehicle servicing and repairs
Learn how to correctly use a range of hand tools whilst working on a range of makes and models of light mechanical vehicles
Learn how to read service schedules, repair guides and road test vehicles
Complete computer work and learn how to use the diagnostic scan tool to work out how to solve problems with a wide variety of vehicles
Learn how to detect and correctly diagnose faults in engines & parts
Learn how to correctly use and maintain equipment, tools and work bays in accordance with safe work practices
Achieve your Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR30616)
ABOUT YOU
Enthusiastic about cars and/or technology and eager to learn!
The ability to follow instructions and work well in a workshop team
Productive, shows initiative, responsive to feedback and safety conscious
Well-presented, punctual, reliable, respectful
Good observational skills and able to absorb workshop processes, procedures and techniques
Have or be working toward gaining a current TAS Drivers Licence
