About the role
We are seeking a Full-time Vehicle Body Repairer workplace Trainer/Assessor.
The role will service the Rockhampton/Gladstone region and other surrounding areas with travel required.
Ideally applicants will be located in Gladstone or Rockhampton area but this is not a mandatory requirement.
Applicants must be a qualified trades person in Panel Beating and be willing to upskill into dual trades, Panel Beating and Refinishing.
MAIN DUTIES or RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out workplace training and assessment for trainees and apprentices in line with MTA Institute policy and the stated delivery method on a day to day basis.
- Plan and organise training and assessment to produce a high-level learning experience for students in line with current technology.
- Liaise and schedule training times with employers and students.
- Carry out all documentary and reporting procedures as advised by MTA Institute.
- Promote and market MTA Institute services to prospective clients in the automotive industry.
- Make all reasonable efforts to maintain a high technological knowledge of the automotive industry.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of MTA Institute training products and services
- Prepared to do travel throughout Queensland
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment - we can assist with this if you don't already have this qualification.
- Trade Qualification/s in Automotive Panel
- Competent in the use of personal computers/devices and up-to-date software applications including Apple, Windows, MS Office and MS Outlook.

Skills and experience
Min. of 6 years technical experience in the retail, service and repair industry
Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology (Panel Beating)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
