The Company
Our client is one of experts of Canberra automotive/mechanical services with high quality engineering and a guaranteed service from a modern workshop.
The Role:
A typical day and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components as well as checking parts
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
- Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
- Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
- Inspecting vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness as required
Key Requirements:
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Completed an apprenticeship.
- Valid manual drivers' licence
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management skills
- Fluent communication and literacy skills
- Flexibility and able to work fulltime hours (non restrictive visa)
