Our Opportunity

Work Location: Perth - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: 4 days | 4 nights | 8 off

This role is responsible for safe and efficient operation of designated Autonomus Drilling systems to deliver the required mine plan drill production targets for delivery of blasted stock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operation of designated Autonomous Drill system/s
  • Standby and delay reduction initiatives
  • Maximise effective drilling time and operational efficiency
  • Plan optimum and efficient pattern execution
  • Operation of designated TUM (Time Usage Model) software to ensure accurate reporting
  • Ensure issues are promptly escalated to supervision teams
  • Assist in training of other team members
  • Assist in the review and creation of safe systems of work including - procedures, work instructions , training material and toolbox topics
Qualifications and Experience
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • 3 years operational drilling experience in open cut mining on platform drill rigs
  • Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Suite i.e. Word and Excel
  • Passion and commitment to autonomous drilling fleet
  • Must be able to multitask on several activities/priorities at the same time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Able to work as part of a team
