Position Overview
An immediate opportunity exists for a motivated, capable, and experienced AV Installation & Sales Manager to lead our installation team and drive sales initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee the installation process from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the AV installation team, including technicians and subcontractors, to ensure efficient project execution and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Coordinate project logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and procurement of materials and equipment.
- Manage & oversee the regular maintenance of company-owned installed equipment at various venues across Canberra.
- Conduct site surveys and collaborate with clients to design customized AV solutions that meet their needs and budget requirements.
- Provide accurate project estimates and proposals, negotiating terms and pricing to secure contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their AV needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Oversee the entire AV installation process, from initial consultation to final installation and testing, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up to date with the latest AV technologies, products, and trends, and provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and team members.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and follow-up with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High level of technical competency in audio, lighting and vision
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Taking pride in high standards of installation work and general tidiness
- Experience in automation & control programming, specialising in Crestron is desirable.
- Open, manual driver’s license
- Cabling tickets - i.e. open cablers
- EWP and Rigging Ticket would be beneficial.
- Ability and willingness to work at heights.
- Physical and mental stamina to perform in high pressure situations.
- Current OHS White Card
- A sound understanding of project requirements and documentation.
- Proven track record of success in AV sales and/or project management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
