About the role
We are currently seeking energetic and bright individuals to join our aviation screening team at Darwin International Airport. This position is responsible for passenger and baggage screening, with a focus on delivering a high-level of customer service. No previous experience is necessary as fully paid training is provided, including the new Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP) that is now required for all Aviation Screening Officers. We currently have part-time roles available, with opportunities to progress to full-time positions for the right candidates.
Candidates must be available to commence training from 25 March 2024.
Duties include
Screening people and their personal belongings, including the use of screening technology such as body scanners and X-rays
Monitoring access control to secure areas
Providing consistent high quality customer service
Reporting and recording incidents and various other activities
Maintaining compliance with current legislation in all security and safety procedures
Minimum requirements
Ability to successfully complete Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (company provided, paid training course)
Current First Aid (or ability to obtain)
Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
Professional attitude and appearance
Ability to work well in a team environment
Availability to work shifts across a 24/7 roster
Valid NT Drivers Licence and reliable transport
Ability to successfully pass Drug and Alcohol screening
Ability to obtain an ASIC (criminal history clearance)
