As the business continues this growth they are now looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Consultant to join the Consultancy Practice of the business. This role will play a key part in building out the consultancy capabilities even further so offers the right person huge growth potential.
The Azure Cloud Consultant Role

• Lead exciting client projects and be able to coordinate a team to achieve project deliverables
• Work with the broader team on delivering internal initiatives and client outcomes
• Assist in presale activities with clients to understand requirements and propose solutions
• Contribute to client project proposals
• Analyse current on-prem and/or cloud-based solutions for future state
• Analyse current business practices, processes and procedures and identify future opportunities for leveraging Microsoft 365 & Azure cloud offerings
• Act as an SME and advisor for our clients to support the planning and implementation of their cloud journey and needed assessment
• Engage with enterprise customers on Azure specific application development and deployment

Design, plan and implement Microsoft Azure solutions with a focus on:

• Azure Landing Zones
• Azure IaaS, PaaS & Security solutions
• Azure Integration Services (APIM, Service Bus, Logic Apps, etc)
• Infrastructure as Code deployments
• Azure Monitor (Log Analytics, Application Insights)
• Azure Sentinel
• Azure Networking
• Azure Virtual Desktop
• Azure DevOps

Design, plan and implement Microsoft 365 infrastructure solutions with a focus on:

• OneDrive and SharePoint
• Exchange Online
• Teams Collaboration
• Identity and Security
• Microsoft Endpoint Manager
• Windows Defender

Day 1 – The Non-Technical Expectation

• Prior exposure to leading and delivering projects for enterprise clients or environments
• Comfortable with consulting scenarios with clients and internally
• Ability to contribute knowledge and experience in pre-sales activities
• Ability to pass minimum baseline security vetting

The Technical Expectations

• 4-6 years' experience working with Microsoft Azure – including Azure Networking, IaaS, PaaS and Security solutions.
• 4 – 6 years' experience working with Microsoft 365 – including Teams, Exchange Online, Office 365, Enterprise Mobility & Security, Conditional Access and the complimentary areas of Power Platform
• 2 years' experience working with Microsoft Azure Integration services –including APIM, Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD Identity model and be able to make recommendations on best fit for a client based on requirements
• Proficient in PowerShell, and able to read and write scripts to simplify administration and deployment tasks
• Proficient in documenting high-level solution design and as-built, as-configured documentation
• Proficient with scripting and Infrastructure as Code concepts
• Solid understanding of DevOps processes and practices
• Expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving issues related to Microsoft technologies
• Fundamental understanding of enterprise networks and security
• Experience working with datacentre solutions across physical infrastructure, hypervisor environments and the operating systems that are used in these environments.
• Experience working with networking and network security across internal and public networks.
• Experience working with automation tools and scripting languages to streamline processes and query systems to get or set configuration and information.
• Experience with migrations of key workloads (email, files, apps and servers) to the cloud
• Experience and understanding of basic infrastructure like DNS, DHCP, AD, GPO, Windows server
• Experience with PKI and certificates

The Nice To Haves

• Microsoft and/or relevant vendor certifications
• Experience and an understanding of Azure cloud computing or other cloud infrastructure platforms
• Experience with Microsoft Security Products AIP, OME, DLP, PIM, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (formerly MCAS)
• Experience with Citrix VDI environments is highly regarded
• Project Management experience and/or certifications
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, code repositories and pipelines
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, such as Kanban or Scrum
• Understanding of M365 Licensing and understand the benefits between EA vs CSP
