Our Federal Government client requires an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer/Solution Architect to join a Programme that delivers a strategic data and analytics platform for their PROTECTED and SECRET environments along with data analytics, data cataloguing and data quality management services to enable self-service business intelligence and analytics on priority datasets. This will enable the Agency to harness its data to improve speed and accuracy for strategic decision-making.
The Azure Cloud Engineer must:
- Assist with set up and provide detailed guidance on work in / on a very significant cloud based data analytics platform.
- Undertake stakeholder engagement activities, including management of security accreditation and acceptance into service processes.
- The Azure Cloud Engineer may be involved in aspects of supporting the Programme by providing a cross programme view on delivery of artefacts relating to the analysis and design of the platform.
- Assist with the Setup and provide detailed guidance on the approach/policy and sets standards for the support provided for managing and monitoring the Analytics Platform.
- Assist with the planning and development of project artefacts for delivery of certain ICT capabilities inclusive of architecture standards.
- Assist the Program lead Architect to ensure that the Analytics Platform is managed to realise business benefits and align to relevant strategic plans.
- A qualified practitioner with specific qualifications or industry training (Bachelors or above) or relevant industry experience of more than 5+ years.
- An experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to work within a very significant cloud based big data analysis platform based primarily on Azure PaaS, SaaS components. Experience in ICT infrastructure and ICT services definition.
- 5+ years’ experience implementing Microsoft Azure Cloud services.
- Networking across on-premises and cloud based software defined networks.
- Experience in Azure with Infrastructure as Code, Automation, System Operations and Monitoring.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, C#, Scala, Open Source).
