Our Requirement
Thinkstream currently have requirements for multiple security cleared (NV1 & NV2) Cloud Engineers across 2 x client sites in Canberra. We require 3 x Cloud Infrastructure Engineers who possess experience across AWS cloud technologies.
We also require a Cloud Security Engineer with a strong understanding of security principles and also security assessment tools and technologies, such as SIEM.
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (3x)
- Lead the development of Cloud-based systems and services.
- 3+ Years of experience as a Cloud Engineer working with Cloud Infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Azure etc
- Lead the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk.
- Conduct post-release reviews.
- Contribute to the specification and design of Cloud-based software to meet defined requirements by following agreed design standards and principles.
- Lead the planning, design, management, and deployment of Cloud-based platforms and services, using appropriate testing tools and techniques, whilst conforming to agreed process standards and industry specific regulations
- Drive the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures,
- produce documentation in accordance with client policies and procedures.
- Contribute to design reviews, stakeholder meetings and agile processes.
- Troubleshooting, Infrastructure, and System Administration skills
- Experience in network security and networking
- Ability to analyse and debug issues in a complex environment
- Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CCNA)
- Develop and maintain team SOPs and playbooks for SIEM management and configuration, including, actioning of alerts, alert exclusions and alert tuning.
- Provide input and feedback on the security architecture for Azure Tenancy and applications
- Maintain the cyber security risks and issues register,
- Contribute to and propose enhancements to security policies and standards for use in an Azure cloud environment
- Maintain SIEM alerts and dashboards to aid with threat detection
- Maintain application control platform
- Assist with the upkeep of the SecOps environment through security hygiene activities
- Contribute to the achievement and maintenance of the Essential 8 Maturity Levels
- Demonstrated experience in cloud security, including knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong understanding of security principles, including access control, encryption, vulnerability assessments, and incident response
- Experience with security assessment tools and technologies, such as SIEM
- Knowledge of industry best practices and standards, such as ISO 27001 and the Essential 8 Maturity Levels
- Ability to analyse complex technical problems and provide practical and effective solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
