The purpose of the role
The Azure Data and AI Specialist Manager plays a pivotal role as a senior leader within our Enterprise Sales organization. Responsible for cultivating and overseeing a team of top performing specialists, this role focuses on empowering our most significant clients to revolutionise their data infrastructure and unlock the full potential of analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and IoT technologies.
As the leader of a large team, this position requires the combination of technical expertise and strategic business acumen. The Azure Data and AI Specialist Manager is a thought leader capable of championing the Data and AI solution domain both externally with clients and internally within Microsoft.
Responsibilities:
- Be a thought leading industry expert and drive growth planning for Data and AI.
- Have a broad understanding of technology trends, market forces and industry imperatives.
- Build strong connections with priority partners to create a meaningful extension of the team’s sales and technical reach.
- Inspire people, builds multifaceted teams, and attracts top talent.
- Interpret complex market signals to make critical decisions in how the team goes to market.
- Be an influencer and thought leader with business and technical customers, effectively building trust and deep relationships?
- Translate Microsoft technology breadth into business impact through solid business and professional skills in order to accelerate the customer’s digital transformation
- Deep engagement with other business Groups such as WW Commercial Business, Account teams and Customer success team in order to create a unified and holistic sales approach.
- Build strong connections with priority partners in order to create a meaningful extension of the team’s sales and technical reach.
Minimum Experience
There will be many opportunities to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft, however, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:
- 9+ years experience working within Data Analytics and/ or AI technology related sales positions
- 5+ years of people management experience
