The Federal Goverment Department is upgrading its Export Certification systems to deliver modern, high quality, robust and easy to use software solutions for a variety of export commodities. We are seeking senior developers with experience in the design and development of new and existing enterprise java software applications, hosted on the Azure cloud platform.
Our ideal candidate will have significant experience in the Java spring framework, React js the Azure hosting platform, will have strong communication & stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, and will have a strong commitment to quality assurance & continuous delivery via automation.
Job responsibilities
- Designing, developing, testing, & delivering applications using Java Spring (and associated open source projects) to be deployed as Azure App Services, Function apps, and Web Apps.
- Designing & Developing Azure Logic Apps.
- Participation in all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, playback/showcases, and retrospectives.
- Contributing to improvements to DevOps and CI/CD practices & artifacts used by the team.
- Troubleshooting & resolving issues encountered by testers through automated and manual test runs, & bugs encountered in production.
- Keeping allocated items in Azure DevOps up to date.
- Participating in peer reviews.
- Providing advice and assistance to solution architects, product managers, delivery managers, peers, testers, and business stakeholders.
- Producing technical documentation, work instructions, and guides to support the developed solitons.
- Extensive experience designing, developing & delivering solutions in accordance with requirements and solutions designs using the following key Azure services: Web Apps, App Service, Function & Logic Apps, and utilising these enabling services: Azure SQL, App config, Key vault, API Manager, & AD Authentication.
- Extensive experience designing and developing applications using Java Spring (and associated projects) & Next.js or React.js.
- Experience Designing and developing microservices based applications using concepts such as API orientation, domain driven design, self-containment, event driven architecture, eventual consistency etc.
