Healthcare Logic is a unique, fully funded research and development company in the Healthcare sector based in the Gold Coast, QLD. We develop and implement next-generation hospital analytics solutions in partnership with health services and academic institutions.
Our flagship platform SystemView is live in >150 hospitals across five Jurisdictions, and we are comprised of 90 staff who are located across Australia, the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the Philippines.

Role Summary
As part of our DevOps team, you'll be instrumental in automating processes, ensuring smooth deployment pipelines, enhancing our infrastructure, availability and monitoring and managing deployments across various clients and environments with a mix of on-premise and Azure cloud. Your efforts will streamline operations, improve system reliability, and support the robust infrastructure needed for our innovative healthcare solutions. This role is key to maintaining our agility and commitment to delivering impactful patient outcomes through advanced technology.
Desirable Skills and Qualities
We’re looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualities.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of experience working with Azure, including expertise in Azure DevOps Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Monitor, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
- Expertise with database engines Postgres and MS SQL Server.
- Comprehensive database maintenance and management skills such as performance monitoring, implementation of backup and disaster recovery strategies, data security, modelling, stored procedures and query optimization.
- Exposure to configuration management and automation technologies such as PowerShell, ARM templates.
- Experience coding in a language relevant to building infrastructure-as-code (preferably Terraform or Pulumi).
- Understanding of scaled agile and DevOps development environments.
- Extensive knowledge of CI/CD, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience implementing API integration across multiple systems.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Docker for NodeJs and MS SQL Server.
- Experience in building Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian suite of products (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, OpsGenie).
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the DevOps team in ensuring that deployment pipelines are working correctly and available.
- Writing code to automate workflows.
- Coordinating with software developers to design and support infrastructure for our business applications.
- Defining service level objectives and improving the flow of our development efforts.
- Deployment of application code to various infrastructure environments as well as support that infrastructure.
- Improving our monitoring infrastructure.
- Automating repeatable deployment tasks
- Participate in On-Call schedule to provide timely support for our production client environments.
