Education & Care Practitioners - Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)
Lady Gowrie is seeking Education and Care Practitioners for our OSHC services across Launceston & Northern Tasmania. Lady Gowrie is a non-for-profit community-based organisation providing Education and Care to children from birth to 12 years of age.
Role:Education & Care Practitioners (OSHC)
Locations: Youngtown, Punchbowl, Mowbray, Newstead, Norwood, West Launceston.
Employment Type: Casual & Part-time
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Education and Care Practitioner in OSHC you are providing a fun, welcoming, and encouraging environment and care to children between 4 – 12 years of age Outside School Hours, for before and after school and vacation care.
We have several casual and part time opportunities across the locations listed above.
As part of the role, you will:
- Develop and implement exciting programs for children to spark wonder, investigation, connections, and possibilities.
- Interact with and supervise children.
- Complete relevant administrative and WHS tasks for your service
- Work collaboratively with your team.
- Contribute to the daily programs.
- Adhere to the requirements under the National Quality Standards for Early Childhood Education & Care.
ABOUT YOU
- A genuine desire to work with and support children’s learning and development.
- Have a passion for creating exciting, fun, and meaningful learning and leisure experiences for children.
- Have strong organisational and communication skills.
- Have experience with Storypark, Qikkids and other IT systems or the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Hold a current registration for Working with Vulnerable People (Child Related Activity) for an employee.
- Have experience in Early Education and Care or in OSHC (Desirable)
- Understand the Education and Care Regulations, National Law, and National Quality Framework (Desirable)
