What you'll be doing
The objective of the AEM Developer role is to develop back-end features for VirginAustralia.com or VelocityFrequentFlyer.com websites in AEM as directed by the Product Owners, using leading development practices and cutting-edge technologies, which will provide additional value to our guests.
- Ensure all development work in AEM is delivered on time and as promised
- Deliver quality code that is robust and scalable
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Compliance to our agile delivery guidelines and ceremonies
- Take the initiative in suggesting and implementing improvements
- Assist the lead developer with solutions design and implementation
- Ensure that all projects meet performance and security standards
- Ensure the focus remains on the end customer
- Ensure that strong stakeholder engagement is established and maintained across the squad you will be working on
- Establish and maintain your own personal development program
- 3+ years' experience with AEM implementations, OSGI, Apache Sling, Dispatcher configuration
- Extensive experience with Java 11, JUnit, Mockito and TDD
- Experience with front-end technologies HTML5 and CSS3
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with agile development methodologies is desirable
- DevOps experience and understanding of responsive design, browser behaviour, and compatibility desirable
