The RoleThe primary focus of this role will be working with the Development and Technical staff to deliver solutions for our customers which typically involve:
- Building and developing back-end solutions to support the front-end.
- Developing API integrations with third-party technologies.
- Reviewing and maintaining existing back-end solutions.
- Documentation of solutions.
Additionally, the role will involve producing bespoke solutions to Vivaticket customers, particularly in relation to front-end solutions and integrations.
As part of a busy team, you will have good communication skills and be able to relate to customers and their experience in the event industry.
Development
Tasks include:
- Taking responsibility for the full development lifecycle of new system features, typically involving:
- Understanding the functional specification and providing technical feedback.
- Investigating and learning new technologies as appropriate.
- Working closely with Technical Team to implement technical specifications.
- Participation in the estimation and implementation of features, their tests and automation framework.
- Maintaining and enhancing existing code to deliver extended functionality to meet evolving customer requirements.
- Ensuring that production code is efficient and easy to maintain.
- Complying with, and contributing to, all Vivaticket information security programmes or legislative control practices e.g. PCI-DSS, DPA, etc. as directed by the Technical Team.
- Staying abreast of technological advancements and security threats, making recommendations to the team where necessary.
- Interfacing with Technical Team to determine and coordinate software solutions for solving business problems.
- Writing technical or business documentation to include reports, diagrams, and manuals, as and when required.
- Ensuring internal teams remain informed of the status of development projects.
- Identification of software bugs and monitoring of their resolution.
- Clear thinker and a good communicator.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a personable and polite manner with people from all backgrounds (including overseas customers). Able to adjust your communication styles to meet the needs at various levels of our customers.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week). Standard office hours are 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. There will be a need to work outside of the normal hours at some times with time in-lieu applied.
