The Opportunity
Off the back of several new, multinational clients signing on to adopt their bespoke application suite, our industry-leading Gold Coast client is in need of two Back-End Developers to join their growing Varsity Lakes-based development team.
The Role
As an integral part of the broader development team, the successful candidates will play a crucial role within the development team, tasked with designing, developing, and maintaining applications and technologies pivotal to the integration platforms for key enterprise customers. Utilizing Java / Kotlin, the platform embraces modern CI/CD and containerized deployment technologies.
Your expertise in Java will be pivotal in building and refining their sophisticated, production-grade backend systems. This role isn't just about Java; it's an opportunity to delve into Kotlin and an array of emerging technologies, keeping you at the forefront of the software development landscape.
Days will include:
-Ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions by maintaining systems and processes.
-Defining system architecture and technical direction for relevant solution components
-Developing and maintain Java modules within the Spring frameworks and providing continuous development of RESTful services for the organisation's integration platform
Your profile
It is envisioned that the successful candidate will have a mix of the following key skills:
- Solid commercial experience in complex Java solutions.
- Proficiency in Kotlin programming language.
- Demonstrated expertise in REST API design, development, and Microservices.
- Experience with web services messaging, business logic layer (RESTful), JSON, and XML processing.
- Strong SQL skills with modern relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
- Direct experience with Java and Simple Web Containers (JBoss, WebLogic, Tomcat).
- Familiarity with CI/CD & Azure DevOps.
