Come join our high performance Melbourne Airport Flight Catering team as an Airport Catering Production Supervisor in a permanent full-time position.What does a typical day look like?The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage all assembly and packing operations within their designated area of control.In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:
- Provide direction, support, and guidance to a team of Catering Attendants.
- Proactively manage your team's performance, including training and coaching.
- Supervise all production activities to ensure that all flights are meticulously packed according to specified standards.
- Investigate, analyse, suggest, and implement corrective action plans to resolve assembly issues.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed, reviewed, and actioned with due diligence.
- Regularly monitor and review plans to implement changes to customer requirements.
- Ensure team members are set clear and consistent goals and expectations relative to their KPIs with regular follow-ups.
- Have a complete understanding of and adhere to dnata catering policies and procedures.
- Motivate and inspire team members by creating an environment oriented toward trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
- Plan monthly/weekly work allocation, staff roster, and scheduling
- Demonstrated success in working within an operations environment.
- Experience in working in a Food Hygiene/Health & Safety/High Security environment is preferred.
- Previous experience in managing more than 30 frontline staff.
- Excellent leadership skills and experience in managing a diverse group of employees.
- A strong commitment to food safety and compliance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
- As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
