The Baggage Room Supervisor is responsible to lead a team of Baggage Room Services Agents towards safety, efficiently and reliably exceeding the service delivery expectations of Swissport's clients (airlines) and their customers on a daily basis.

The primary focus of the role is to lead the achievement of key objectives for their allocated shift/clients as well as working closely with their peers towards achieving the objectives of the whole Baggage Room Services team.

Importantly, Baggage Room Supervisors are cultural ambassadors and role models for the company whose role is to demonstrate and lead others towards upholding company culture and supporting company direction. 

It is essential that you have:

• Thorough knowledge of airline handling manuals, dangerous goods, security and emergency response policies and procedures;
• Practical understanding of safety practices and regulations;
• Understanding of OH7S responsibilities;

And highly desirable to have the following experience:

• Previous aviation Baggage Room services skills and experience;
• Sound understanding of Australian aviation regulations, and airport and airline operational policies and procedures;
• Proficient utilisation of the and IT solutions suite; 
• Proven experience using baggage tracing system preferably World Tracer.
