Key Responsibilities:
- Plan production and provide production schedules to meet customer orders and sales forecasts.
- Lead and develop production processes and procedures to ensure the efficient manufacturing of high-quality pastry and Bakehouse products.
- Research and procure raw materials and ingredients to develop and produce best in class pastry products.
- Demonstrate a robust commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Deliver product presentations to retailers, as necessary.
- Oversee departmental expenditures to meet predetermined budgetary objectives.
- Strategically allocate departmental resources to align with company objectives and goals.
- Establish and maintain food safety and quality protocols, ensuring compliance through ongoing monitoring and development.
The ideal candidate for this role possesses:
- Tertiary qualification and/or a minimum of five years of relevant experience in food production management.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with major retail establishments.
- Proven track record in crafting British culinary staples, including Pork Pies and Cornish Pasties.
- Good technical expertise in pastry manufacturing and pastry-based products.
- Exceptional proficiency in work organisation encompassing time management, workload distribution, and prioritization.
