CNC Machine Setter/OperatorLocation: Turrella, NSW, AustraliaAbout the Role: We are currently seeking experienced CNC Mill and Lathe Setters/Operators to join a dynamic manufacturing team. This role will be based in in a high-paced machine shop, which is equipped with state-of-the-art modern machines such as Mori Seiki and Kitamura. As a CNC Machine Setter/Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of CNC mills and lathes to meet quality and delivery standards.Key Accountabilities:
- Proficiently set up and operate multiple CNC mills and lathes in a high-mix, low-volume batch production environment.
- Skillfully interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Precisely work with both metric and imperial measurements.
- Conduct inspections to ensure that first-off and in-process components adhere to drawing specifications.
- Analyze and interpret CMM reports to implement necessary adjustments in machine settings.
- Prioritize maintenance of product quality while improving productivity and efficiency to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure proper upkeep of machines and work areas.
- Consistently adhere to WHS policies and procedures.
- Passionate about technology development, continuous improvement, and customer service.
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving and maintenance.
- Skills in operating and maintaining various types of machinery.
- Ability to adapt to different tasks and support the team in a dynamic work environment.
- Trade qualification.
- Extensive experience in CNC setting and operation.
- Familiarity with Fanuc control.
- MUST have worked with Aluminium and Stainless-Steel Products
- MUST have 3 - 5 Axis Machining experience
- Flexibility in working both morning and afternoon shifts.
- Mechanical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret NC Codes.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering and machining drawings.
- Competence in using various precision measuring instruments, such as callipers, micrometres, and various types of gauges.
- Reliability, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively within a workshop team with minimal supervision.
