The Goomeri Bakery is a well know modern patisserie that creates a range of delicious freshly baked bread, pastry’s, Danishes, cakes and desserts all produced in-house. We are looking for a highly skilled full-time pastry cook with a passion for creating quality food. We are based in Goomeri QLD 1.5 hours from the sunshine coast.
Position Requirements
- Trade level qualifications equivalent to a Certificate III or IV in bakery / pastries production/ commercial cookery or equivalent experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Experience in pastry making will be highly regarded.
The Role
- Produce a wide variety of pastries / cakes / desserts goods consistently following set recipes.
- Bread production.
- Finish cakes and pastries with great attention to detail.
- Work in a fast, efficient, and organised manner.
- Maintain high quality standards for all food.
- Participate in the creation and testing of new desserts.
- Monitoring stock levels of baking ingredients and packaging.
- Assist in controlling food costs by minimising spoilage and wastage.
- Check quality of ingredients and condition of equipment used within the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety standards.
On offer:
This is a full-time position, working a minimum of 38 hours per week. Evening, and early morning shifts.
The Salary for this position is $70,000-$80,000 per annum and is dependent on skills and experience.
