On behalf of our client, a major oil and gas operator, we are currently looking for a Ballast Operations Support to join their team in Perth on a 12 month contract.
The position shall ensure safe, efficient, and professional maritime competency is exercised and delivered during the operations associated with the management of ballast and cargo rundown / transfer and ballasting. Ensure that the requirements of Transport Safety Standards are upheld and in accordance with the guidance contained in the Marine Process Model and clients procedures.
- Promote a positive approach to HSSE in all aspects of Marine Operations activities by demonstration of personal commitment to HSSE through the application of safety critical behaviours.
- Responsible for preparing the Cargo and Ballast plan considering LNG, LPG and Condensate Run down, Cargo transfer and other activities on Prelude including the testing and operation of Loading Computer.
- Support the safe execution of all Ship to Ship Terminal interface operations in accordance with company and industry guidance (e.g. ISGOTT / SIGTTO) as appropriate.
- Support S&L operator in field control activities where requested.
- Support stakeholders on asset to ensure good coordination and effective execution of marine activities.
- Provide proactive Marine operational awareness of activities on board asset.
- Monitor the weather parameters ensuring operations are within operational parameters for wind, sea, wave-height, and lightning to meet Prelude Manual Of Permitted Operations (MOPO) requirements.
- Ensure operational processes under own control are executed in a timely manner.
- Attend daily all applicable daily meetings such as Services Team Meeting, Morning Pre-start operations meeting, chair the Marine Field Management call engaging as appropriate on all marine related issues.
- Support in the management of unplanned / unforeseen marine events.
- Support Prelude emergency response teams on marine related incidents or issues and provide input and training as appropriate to any maritime related emergency response exercise.
- Support as appropriate with terminal compliance and internal HSSE audits, industry and site self-assessments.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with all training requirements for the role.
