About the roleIMB Bank has a new opportunity for a Bank Reconciliation Officer to join our Finance team on a full time permanent basis.Working with a professional Accounting and Operations team, the main aspects of this role are to carry out the bank reconciliation process for IMB bank accounts and general ledger accounts, manage the lost and stolen cheque process, reconcile remote payments and the overall operating position, prepare various reports and returns, and provide support to Accountants and projects as and when required.This role may suit someone interested in accounting principles and fundamentals, who is looking to kickstart their career in Accounts or for a new opportunity in a clerical based accounting role that compliments their existing skills and experience.
About YouWe will welcome your application outlining your skills, experience and attributes in the following:
- Basic accounting knowledge and experience in reconciliation procedures and general ledger systems
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel and confident using other systems and technology
- Display a strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors/problems and work through to resolution
- Comfortable working in a high volume transactional accounts environment and working to deadlines
- Be a good communicator and effectively able to liaise with both employees at all levels and external parties
- Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changes in the workplace
- Have initiative and insights to identify, recommend and improve workflows/processes
- Enthusiastic to learn new things and undertake further studies if required.

Our Head Office is located in Wollongong and is a fresh, newly constructed building with modern amenities and close to shops, cafes and the beach.
