Banking Applications Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Applications Manager to join an established team, reporting directly to the CIO.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the application management team, ensuring the timely delivery and management of high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of banking operations.

Team size of six FTE across application management and QA.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled IT Applications Manager with expertise in the management, deployment and support of banking platforms.

You will be responsible for leading application support, enhancement and deployment efforts, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of the bank.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the team in designing, developing, and maintaining critical banking and associated applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, from planning and estimation to deployment and support.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security protocols.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance development efficiency and product quality.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends and make recommendations for adoption as appropriate.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in application development, with a focus on financial services preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Expertise in software development methodologies, such as Agile or DevOps.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
