Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is currently seeking experienced Bar Superstars to join our team of bar professionals on a casual basis in our Lovedale Bar + Grill.
Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is a premier resort and is a sprawling playground in the heart of wine country, where's there's something special for everyone.
We are looking for someone with a big personality that can have fun with, and entertain our guests. The candidate will ideally also have a passion for hotels and hospitality and be hungry for experience that will further their career within the company.
About the role
Surrounded by pristine vineyards and undulating hills, we invite our guests to let the good times roll. Our Lovedale Bar + Grill is laid back yet lively to wind down or rev up. With Sydney Brewery operating onsite who source their beer from the filtered Hunter Valley water, giving their brewers a blank canvas to create a vast range of beers from Lagers and Pale Ales to rich Porters. Four dedicated serving vessels serve the Lovedale Bar + Grill directly from the brewery with rotating seasonal beers and ciders accompanying our core range.
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Bar Supervisor you will be responsible for exceptional customer service to our guests by responding to their requests promptly.
As a member of our team, will perform the role effectively, you will be a great communicator and love to engage with people to create memorable experiences for our hotel guests and locals alike.

- Having a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items
- Ensuring a high level of cleanliness in all areas is consistently maintained
- Offering and promoting products/services to members and guests
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ensuring that all relevant laws and regulations are upheld (RSA) and Occupational Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
Skills and Experience:
- Must be a team Player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience working behind a bar with a working knowledge of making both modern, classic and contemporary cocktails is preferred but not essential.
- Must have coffee/barista experience
- Must have a current RSA certificate
- Must have a good attention to detail
- Must display a high level of professionalism whilst on duty
- Must have a passion for hotels and hospitality and be hungry for experience that will further their career within the company.
- Must be able to work autonomously
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have outstanding personal presentation
- Must have availability to work a flexible roster across 7 days including late nights & Public Holidays
- Must have the legal right to work in Australia
