Barista Experienced

Job Description:

Point Cafe at Avoca Beach is seeking an experienced and passionate Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional coffee experiences to our customers, ensuring high-quality beverages are served with speed and precision. This role requires a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques, a keen attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and standards.
2. Operate espresso machines and other coffee brewing equipment with proficiency, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
3. Grind coffee beans and adjust grind settings as necessary to achieve desired flavor profiles.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee preparation area, including equipment, tools, and supplies.
5. Monitor and manage inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other related items, placing orders as needed to ensure adequate stock.
6. Provide friendly and efficient customer service, taking orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations as needed.
7. Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times, including proper handling and storage of perishable items.
8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the cafe, assisting with tasks such as cleaning, stocking, and cashier duties as required.
9. Stay informed about current coffee trends, techniques, and industry developments, continuously seeking opportunities for skill enhancement and improvement.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Barista in a fast-paced  environment.
2. Proficiency in operating espresso machines 
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
4. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
5. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings,  weekends, and holidays.
6. A passion for coffee and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for customers.
7. RSA is compulsory
