List G Barristers seeks a highly motivated Barristers’ Clerk to support the CEO and Senior Clerk.
Reporting to and working closely with the CEO, the successful applicant will be self-motivated, and team orientated and should possess well developed drafting and communication skills. The ability to work autonomously is critical. Experience with digital marketing platforms such as LinkedIn is preferred. The right candidate should have a genuine interest in the legal profession and the Victorian Bar in particular.
This role is full time and based in person in the Melbourne CBD office.
Key responsibilities will include responding to solicitor enquiries regarding barrister availability, maintaining the List G Barristers website, supplier accounts administration and learning all aspects of general clerking operations.
This is not a legal role, so applicants should show a willingness to perform daily administrative tasks (such as reception breaks) as part of a small and close-knit team. Applications from former lawyers with an interest in business will be considered. Law graduates seeking a future career as a solicitor will not be considered.
The required CBD office working hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm, five days per week, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. Please note this is a long-term appointment and a genuine career opportunity in business management. A generous salary package and supportive working conditions are on offer for the right candidate.
A cover letter and current resume should be addressed to Jane King, CEO of List G Barristers, 205 William Street, Melbourne, VIC, 3000.
Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
