About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at the Red Lion Hotel part of Laundy Hotel Group. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for crafting delicious drinks, providing outstanding customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Tasks and Responsibilities

• Mix and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits, according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, offering recommendations, answering questions, and providing personalised service to enhance the guest experience.
• Keep the bar area clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times. Ensure that all glassware, utensils, and bar equipment are cleaned and sanitised according to health and safety standards.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, process payments promptly, and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.
• Observe guest behaviour and ensure responsible alcohol service at all times. Adhere to legal drinking age and alcohol service regulations to promote a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
• Showcase your creativity and mixology skills by crafting unique and innovative cocktails that reflect the pub's atmosphere and customer preferences.
• Promote daily specials, happy hour deals, and upcoming events to increase sales and drive revenue. Encourage guests to try new drinks and explore our beverage offerings.
• Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to coordinate service and ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to meet guest needs and exceed expectations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience as a bartender in a similar establishment is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixology techniques, and beverage trends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (RSA) is required
