About the opportunity
The BASIX Assessor reports to the Sales Estimating Manager and is part of the Sales Estimating team. The key focus of this role is to oversee obtaining BASIX and NatHERS certifications. More specifically, you will:
- Review architectural plans to ensure they meet BASIX and NatHERS requirements.
- Insert building specifications into NatHERS and BASIX software with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Undertake energy efficiency assessments.
- Provide cost-effective recommendations and guidance to the drafting team to ensure designs meet the associated requirements
- Problem solve related matters
- Ensure findings and learnings are shared across the Drafting teams
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Remain up to date with legislative changes
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose to be Australia’s number one residential builder and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:
- A current NatHERS accreditation
- Experience working in a residential construction environment
- Ability to understand and interpret house plans
- A keen eye for detail and attention to accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- Experience using BERS Pro, HERO or FirstRate assessment software would be preferred
