AddressEstablished in 2003 MBBC is a P – 12 boys’ school set in the leafy bayside suburb of Manly West. It currently has 500 plus enrolments. At MBBC the Primary School encompasses Years Prep to 6 with Years 7 – 9 constituting Middle School and Years 10 – 12 comprising the Senior School.
THE POSITION
The College is seeking an experienced Basketball Coach for an immediate start.
The successful candidate should acquire a high level of expertise, enthusiasm for the game and the ability to work with varying levels of ability in the sport from P-12.
Sport is an integral component of the College’s Co-Curricular programme and complements the College’s holistic commitment to the physical and emotional development of students.
The Sports Coach will be responsible to the Basketball Coordinator for the day to day running of the coaching programs/training sessions.
All staff are appointed by the CEO & Executive Principal of MBC and MBBC and they are responsible to him for the over-all performance of their duties. The CEO & Executive Principal delegates his authority to senior staff members for the effective management of the College.
All staff need to be supportive of the values, Christian ethos and Ethical Statement of this Uniting Church Day school for girls from EY-12.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To attend all Training sessions (one per week)
- Coach and mentor teams
- Attend fixtures (one per week)

- Previous experience coaching a Basketball Team.
- Demonstrated ability to provide positive and clear instructions.
- Ability to use initiative.
- Well-developed communication skills.
- Commitment to their work and to the achievement of excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team.
- Completion of a community coaching course or Level 1 coaching experience desirable.
- Current First aid certificate including CPR desirable.
- Positive Blue Card is essential.
