About the Opportunity
William Clarke College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Childcare Assistants to join our College community. As a BAASC Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a high level of care to the children within the Centre. You will actively support the College's Christian ethos.
Our BAASC Centre is open from 7am to 9am, and from 2:30pm to 6:00pm, five days per week. Additionally, there are 7 weeks of non-term time each year where our Vacation Care service operates.
The role requires direct responsibility for a group of Preparatory and Primary School aged children, assisting the Coordinator with planning and preparation of interesting, educational and fun activities, and a commitment to the safety and good supervision of the children at all times.
This is a Casual position with variable work hours and work days.
About You
- Previous experience working in a Before and After School Care environment
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is an advantage
- Proven skills in leading children through activities, meals and social interactions
- A flexible attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Good communication skills and a friendly persona
- Willing to work variable hours according to the needs of the service
- Actively support the College's Christian ethos
- The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
- Regularly practicing member of a Christian church
