Job description

The team at Bright Eyes is growing and evolving. We're looking for colleagues who love working with children and those who support them, to join our welcoming and well-resourced clinic in Katoomba, Blue Mountains.Working primarily with neurodiverse children and young people, we are a specialist clinic committed to providing the very best in quality and evidence-based care. In this role, you will be working to provide a mix of direct client supports, family and school consultations, and assessments. Bright Eyes staff work closely with their peers and experienced supervisors in a collaborative, supportive, and flexible workplace.Your role:To combine your love of working with children and your exceptional clinical skills. Your role will involve a mix of assessments, report writing and consultations for a maximum of six client hours per day. Your role will also include providing supervision to junior staff.
To design and implement skill acquisition programs utilising the principles of applied behaviour analysis
To conduct comprehensive functional behaviour assessments and develop evidence-based behaviour support plans.
To work in collaboration with paediatricians, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and other health professionals to meet client goals.
To provide holistic and person-centred care to your clients, including actively involving parents and schools where appropriate.
To participate in research opportunities within Bright Eyes and with our research partners; including working towards publication of behaviour analytic research in Australia and conducting internal quality audits.Benefits and Remuneration package:Generous annual salary package - plus workplace perks, including regular social events and professional development.

To participate in research and publication opportunities in collaboration with our university partners.Your Qualifications & Experience:Registered as a Certified Behaviour Analyst (CBA) with Association of Behaviour Analysis Australia (ABAA), or as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) with Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Candidates working towards these qualifications may be considered.
Five years+ experience working with children in diverse settings, such as paediatric mental health and/or an educational context.
Experience providing supervision to colleagues working towards their certification with the BACB and/or ABAA.
Research experience will be considered highly valuable for this role.Your Qualities:Able to develop rapport with children, adolescents, and parents.
Able to work 5 days per week
Comfortable with commitment and a desire to establish a long-term, loyal client base amongst a caring team of colleagues.
