Position Purpose
Reporting to the RegionalServices Manager, the Behaviour Support Practitioner will play a crucial rolein conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programs,assisting with the implementation of plans and supervision of Behaviour Therapists.The work is based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis and PositiveBehaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, andschool/workplace settings.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
- Provide support and training to employees on clinical techniques
- Undertake Clinical Supervision of core Behaviour Support Practitioners
- Assist the Regional Clinical Manager as required
- Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders
- Work with varying professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklists
Essential Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support e.g. Psychology
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience demonstrating provision of positive Behaviour Support services
- High level of oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports
- Demonstrated and effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a face-paced environment
- A valid Australian driver's licence and your own vehicle.
- Ability to attain all mandatory compliance checks including the NDIS Workers Screening Check, National Criminal History Check and any relevant State-issued WWCC/WWVP cards
- Willingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support
