Bid Manager (Bid & Project Tendering, Manufacturing & Operations)

Manufacturer of high end special purpose machinery, a unique hybrid type role, offering a mix of Bid & Tender Management & Project Estimation.

Client & You:
An exciting opportunity exists within a growing Engineering Company (sectors include Defense, Mineral Processing, and Construction) that is looking to expand its Projects Division and employ a Bid Manager - Estimation, Project Bids, Tenders, and Project Coordination.
Design to-build solutions. As the Project & Contracts Manager you will oversee the development of multi-million dollar proposals, managing the bid plans and stakeholder strategy with both new and existing clients.
Daily Duties:

• Working with other project team members, assisting with project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Full accountability for pipeline proposals as well as identifying and creating tenders & proposals from existing clients and within the wider engineering, defense, and construction markets
• Facilitating the end-to-end tender and Bid processes, which will include collaborating and responding to clients
• Reporting to the GM, this position will involve some travel but 95% of the time will be office-based
• Developing an in-depth understanding of your products by leveraging your engineering background and using knowledge to increase the effectiveness of business strategies
• Facilitating new business opportunities by preparing high-quality tenders and expressions of interest (EOIs) for potential projects
• Building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders - so that you can then present reports to senior management with
• Work with the finance team to prepare pre-contract Bid costs and forecasts
• Attend network events
• Use of Accounting Software, MS Project

Requirements & What's on Offer:

• At least 1-2 years of experience as a Project Co-ordinator, Bid Management, or Estimating
• Ideally from a Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Commercial Construction background, or with a trade background who has gained more commercial experience along the way
• Strong Planning, Bid, and Tender coordination experience
• Depending on experience up to $125k base + Super, so great package + bonus - negotiable
