Our client is looking for an experienced DB2 Z/OS Database Administrator to work for a large organisation in Canberra and Work from home.
Skills and experience:
- Mainframe Db2 Database Administration experience.
- Experience with IBM Db2 tools - Recovery expert and clone tool
- Experience with monitoring and diagnostics using Omegamon and query monitor.
- Experience with rolling out maintenance for Db2 across mainframe systems.
- Experience with z/OS interfaces - ISPF, REXX, JCL etc
- Understanding of z/OS software installation methodologies - SMP/E
- Experience providing expert advice to technical specialists and stakeholders and seek their cooperation in the provision of database administration.
- Experience scheduling and manage database software installations and upgrades to maintain currency with supported environments.
- Experience designing and planning operational backup, archival and recovery activities and cyclical disaster recovery exercises.
