Big Red Kidney Bus Driver (Nsw) – Casual, Suit Retired Person

Kidney Health Australia’s Big Red Kidney Bus travels to regional holiday locations like Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie in NSW every 4-6 weeks. The Bus makes it possible for people living with kidney disease to enjoy a much-needed break and receive life-saving haemodialysis free of charge. We partner with dialysis nurses from Royal North Shore Hospital who provide the dialysis treatment onboard the bus at each location.

Our Big Red Kidney Bus Driver (NSW) is vital in making the Big Red Kidney Bus program a success for this vulnerable kidney community. Our friendly, reliable and community-minded Bus Driver will review the bus schedule for the year to ensure the Bus arrives at and departs from each destination on time (passenger free), is safely located on site and is clean and inviting to visitors. The Bus Driver will also assist Kidney Health Australia keep the Bus in a safe, serviceable, and roadworthy condition.

We are looking for a Bus Driver to join our Community Programs team. The main tasks are:

• Driving the Bus (no passengers) to holiday destinations in NSW according to the schedule (overnight stay may be required)  
• Relocating the Bus from the holiday destination to a new location, a servicing or repair agent or to a decommission site as required (schedule provided)
• Assist with setting up the Bus at the destination (checklist provided)
• Ensure the exterior of Bus is cleaned and polished on arrival at every holiday destination 
• Ensure the Bus is located in a safe position onsite and is stablised using the hydraulic rams before departing
• Assist KHA to keep the Bus in a safe, serviceable, and roadworthy condition
• Assist KHA to conduct a service maintenance plan including annual service and ongoing maintenance
