About the organisation The Architects Registration Board of Victoria (ARBV) was established under Part 6 of the Architects Act 1991 to administer the registration system for architects, architectural partnerships, and companies. The ARBV is comprised of a board of oversight, a Registrar who is responsible for maintaining the register and who carries out the functions and duties of the Chief Executive Officer, and a small number of staff. Responsible to the Minister for Planning through the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), the ARBV works in collaboration with DTP and other government agencies as required to achieve the best possible outcomes for the industry.
