Have you been looking for that workplace with the perfect balance of energy, positivity, meaningful work, and professionalism? I promise it’s not a golden unicorn, we have it right here.
Are you an experienced and professional executive support specialist with the right skill set to manage the requirements of a high-profile Board, while anticipating the needs of a high-energy and passionate CEO?
You are likely to be very familiar with the good work of this organisation! The National Australia Day Council (NADC) works tirelessly to provide all Australians with an opportunity to reflect, respect and celebrate our great country and the ever-evolving story of our nation – our history, our lives and, most of all, our people. How do they do this? Through the delivery of a range of programs to support an inclusive and accessible Australia Day and delivering Australia’s most prestigious individual awards program – the Australian of the Year Awards.
While their purpose is clear and meaningful, this is not all the defines them. They have an exceptional team culture built on the shared values of making a difference, caring for community and respect for each other. The NADC workforce enjoy a hybrid mix of working from home and all coming together in their historic offices located in Old Parliament House.
The role of Board Secretariat/EA to CEO is one that will be predominantly focused on the provision of attentive, accurate and professional support to the Board of NADC and various sub-committees. What does that mean? Using your maturity and strategic understanding of the organisational goals, you will not only be responsible for the logistics of each meeting (including travel and administration), you will also be relied upon for your exceptional ability to prepare briefing papers and generate meeting minutes that succinctly summarise the key action points and deliverables suited to the audience. Your understanding of how best to prepare, inform and coordinate input from Board and Committee members will see you adding value and anticipating their every need.
Speaking of anticipating needs, this will be the key skill you will bring to the rest of your important role as you provide support to your CEO and COO as required. You find it easy to put yourself in the shoes of your executive, understanding instinctively what they will need and when and how to add value to their busy roles. You know what they need before they realise it, solving problems they don’t yet know they have!
You are driven by providing exceptional support to the Executive team. Your new CEO is described as values driven, passionate and high-energy, and not only do you match this, you know how to ensure the best possible support to this persona. You are solutions focused and confident in stepping in to make things happen.
Your new career awaits you. How do you get there? You are probably already crafting the response. But to be sure, send us a cover letter telling us know why this is the perfect match for you, together with your resume.
