Boarding House Supervisor (Residential Optional)

The role:

• Senior Boarding Supervisor
• Start ASAP.
• Full time until  13 December 2024.
• Works term-time only (38 weeks per year).
• Paid in full throughout the year (including School Holidays).
• Rent-free on-site accommodation provided (suitable for single person only); all meals/utilities included.
• Open to candidates who prefer a non-residential arrangement.
• Involves weekday, weeknight, overnight, and weekend work (rotating roster).

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Supervise the administrative and operational running of one of our two Boarding Houses.
• Support and assist boarders in all facets of school and residential life with care, compassion, and consistency.
• Help build and facilitate a safe, warm, comfortable, and homely living environment for students.
• Develop and maintain open and effective relationships with parents.
• Remain committed to child protection and to meeting the ChildSafe program standards.
• Actively participate in the life of the School, always promoting our ethos, vision, and values.

The ideal candidate:

• Demonstrated experience in a relevant area (e.g. Boarding, Teaching, Nursing, long-term parental or carer responsibilities).
• Demonstrated understanding of and willingness to support the needs of young women moving through their formative years.
• A naturally warm and personable individual who is invested in enriching the lives of students living away from home.
• Confident, decisive, and accountable.
• Highly skilled in verbal communication and relationship building.
• Understands risk management, duty of care, and WHS.
• Must hold a current driver's license.
