As a Boilermaker, you'll play a vital role in our manufacturing operations, making a tangible impact on the production process. Located at our Mt Thorley site, you'll report to our experienced Production Supervisor and work alongside a high-performing crew. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills and be part of a team that values collaboration, efficiency, and quality.
So, what will you be doing?
- You'll analyze work orders and drawings to determine the required materials, operations, and sequence of tasks.
- Your expertise will be crucial in identifying the necessary jigs, equipment, and materials for each job.
- We encourage innovation, so you'll have the chance to recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Putting your skills to work, you'll engage in fabrication, assembly, and repair tasks, ensuring timely completion.
- Attention to detail is paramount as you'll be responsible for ensuring all work is done according to specifications.
- Teamwork is essential, and you'll collaborate effectively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
- Proper maintenance of tools and machinery is key to your success in this role.
- Taking responsibility for the security of tools and equipment.
- Safety is our top priority, and you'll play an active role in adhering to company safety protocols and promoting a safe work environment.
To thrive in this role, you'll need a few essential qualifications. Being trade qualified with excellent communication skills is a must. Additionally, a valid driver's license, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously are crucial to your success. We're also seeking individuals who are eager to learn and implement advanced manufacturing techniques. If you have a forklift license or overhead crane competency, that's a bonus!
