About the role
As our next Boilermaker reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
Our Lake Vermont Project located in Dysart is situated in Dysart, North Queensland.
As a Boilermaker your role will be to:
- Perform quality repairs and maintenance of a diverse fleet in accordance with Thiess policies and procedures, safely and efficiently
- Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins and computer-based systems and execute maintenance in accordance with this information
- Be responsible for use and proper storage of workshop and personal tooling and advise the supervisor of any defects or safety issues
- Set and maintain high housekeeping standards
- Carry out pre-start checks, personal and group risk assessment as required by the task
About the you
To be successful in this role you are required to have:
- Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or Equivalent with Post-trade experience working in the mining and heavy earthmoving industry, or hydraulic excavator industry
- HR driver’s licence, EWP, Dogging and MDG25 (preferable)
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current Standard 11
- A commitment to a positive safety culture
- A proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of a world-class team to deliver excellence for our clients
