About the role
WesTrac currently have multiple openings for Boilermakers in our General Workshop due to a strong forecast of work. As a Boilermaker, you will work with the Rebuilds team to maintain CAT quality standards. We are seeking candidates with exceptional skills, including experience in boiler manufacturing, repair, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should be able to read and interpret plans and blueprints, as well as have excellent communication skills. Furthermore, candidates must possess strong attention to detail, be reliable and work with a team-oriented mindset.
What we're looking for
- Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication (Australian Trade recognised)
- Extensive experience in OXY/Thermal processes: cutting, heating and thermal lancing
- Experience in mobile plant repairs will be highly regarded
- Sub arc welding experience
- Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
- Safety focused mindset
- Proficient in MIG welding (multiple wire applications needed)
- Able to read, interpret and manufacture from engineering drawings
Lifestyle Roster (15/28) - working only half the year
- Roster Pattern: Complete your nights in 1 swing, every 3 weeks! 12-hour shifts.
- Day shift: 0600-1830 & Night shift: 1800-0630
