We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Leading Hand on a permanent, full-time basis, to join our manufacturing team!
About the Role:
Based in Kewdale and reporting to the Projects Manager, you will be involved in:
- Supervising a team of Fabricators including an apprentice.
- Planning and preparing workflow following a specific Project schedule.
- Manage and review of Fabrication Engineering drawings.
- Liaise with Procurement team to facilitate required purchasing.
- Structural and General Purpose welding in Steel and aluminium.
- Reporting of progress to Project Scheduler.
- Ongoing innovative projects that are making a significant difference within the Mining Industry!
- Fabrication of custom mechanical components
- Maintenance and Refurbishment of existing vehicles
About You:
You are looking for a new challenge and want long term job security in a Unique Mining Technology Service Company!
- Trade certificate – Heavy Fabrication.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising a team.
- Strong ability to follow engineering diagrams.
- Australian Drivers license C Class - as a minimum
- Proven skills in all facets of MIG and TIG welding.
- High regard for safety in the workplace
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Have pride and attention to detail in their work.
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible and resilient
- Eager to grow with a United and Inspired Company!
These extra skills are a BIG Advantage!
- Sound knowledge of various software programs
- Dogging/ Rigging certificate.
- Good computer skills
- Forklift license
- Experience with Hydraulic and Electric Drive Systems - highly desirable!
- MR Licence
