About the role:
We are currently seeking experienced, trade-qualified Boilermakers and Welders to join our team located at our Wingfield facilities. These roles report to the Workshop/Site Supervisors. Due to an increase in activity, we have several roles available for an immediate start. Shifts are Mon-Fri dayshift, with overtime available. Role will be casual for 2-3 months with a view to transitioning to permanent upon acceptable performance.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Fabricating/welding steel as per drawings and specifications.
- Install prefabricated structures and components for Industrial and commercial purposes (Site crew only).
- Repair boilers.
- Join fabrications to form metal structures.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Load and unload equipment and materials.
- Use hand and power tools and heavy machinery.
- Follow written and verbal instructions from managers/supervisors.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Safe working practices.
- Collaborate with co-workers and with strong interpersonal skills.
- Communicate effectively and have strong verbal communication skills.
- Learn quickly with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, and lifting.
- Willingness to work overtime if required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Relevant Trade Qualification.
Additional qualifications or experience that are preferred but not essential:
- Confined space
- Working at Heights
- Rigging or Dogging Licence
- Forklift
- EWP
- Experience in Heavy industrial work sites.
