We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic team as a Boilermaker / Welder Apprentice, located in Pooraka. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining hands-on experience while completing formal training in a supportive and vibrant work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Fabrication of fence and gates predominantly using aluminium and galvanised steel.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, such as grinders, drills, welding equipment, and cutting torches.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fitting tasks to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of metal components.
- Assist in the inspection and testing of completed structures to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Cert II in Engineering (preferred, not essential)
- Drivers Licence (preferred, not essential)
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques and equipment, MIG and TIG.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Take pride in work tasks, and enjoyment of manual work with a 'can do' attitude.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced boilermakers.
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks including as a police check and medical.
