As part of our rapid growth, we are seeking experienced Boilermaker Welders to join our Kalgoorlie Operations in a casual role.
** Please note, due to the short turn around all of our employees need to be based in WA.
Your Role:
- Ability to read, comprehend and apply engineering drawings.
- High level communications and interpersonal skills.
- High level problem solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to further your knowledge and skills with additional training.
- High level record keeping.
- Knowledge and understanding of Stick and MIG process welding.
- Undertake preventative maintenance and/or repairs to crushers, screens, apron feeders, chutes and conveyors.
- Provide recommendations to management on methods and procedures with a view to more efficient operations of the facility and maintainability of rolling stock.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fixed plant equipment and ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance with relevant maintenance documentation.
- Provide recommendations to management on methods and procedures to improve the service and product we offer our clients.
- Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification essential
- Previous experience in the Kalgoorlie Mining sector would be desirable.
- Previous experience with fixed plant maintenance.
- Certified competency as a forklift operator, overhead crane driver would be advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work unsupervised and be a hands on team player.
- Proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks, be flexible and resourceful, proactive and professional in manner with a high degree of initiative and strong communication skills.
- NPC within 12 Months.
- A current and valid manual Australian Driver's licence essential
- Provide a compliant drug and alcohol screen on request.
