We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic team as a 1st Year Boilermaker Apprentice, located in Cavan . This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining hands-on experience while completing formal training in a supportive and vibrant work environment. Responsibilities:
Assist senior boilermakers in the fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, such as grinders, drills, welding equipment, and cutting torches.
Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fitting tasks to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of metal components.
Assist in the inspection and testing of completed structures to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe work environment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
Cert II in Engineering (preferred, not essential)
Basic knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced boilermakers.
Successful candidate will be required to undergo pre employment checks such as a medical.
