Responsibilities:
- Breathe life into blueprints by translating them into precise metal structures
- Masterfully operate metalworking tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts with accuracy
- Utilize MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques to create strong, long-lasting welds
- Meticulously ensure all components fit together perfectly before welding commences
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, promoting a positive work environment
- Collaborate effectively with teammates to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Proactively troubleshoot welding challenges to minimize delays and ensure quality
- Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest welding advancements and equipment maintenance practices
- Holds a valid Australian Welding or Fabrication Certificate (e.g., Certificate III in Fabrication Trade)
- Possesses a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar industrial workshop environment
- Demonstrates proficiency in a variety of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick
- Has a proven track record of working with large and complex machinery components
- Possesses a keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving the highest quality standards
- Showcases exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
- Maintains a steadfast commitment to safety practices and regulations
